We stumbled upon this coffee shop by chance. It was King’s Day, mayhem everywhere and we had about an hour before our lunch reservation. I searched up “coffee shops near me” on Google maps and about three walking-distance suggestions popped up. The photos of Lot Sixty One’s perfect latte art coupled with a 4.6 star rating convinced me that this one would do. It was so much more than that though.
When someone in your group says “This is too hipster for me…” you know that at least the decor of the cafe is giving off some promising hipster vibes. It’s small and they had a couple of seats which would be perfect for a short coffee catch up among 2-3 people, but nothing more serious than that.
The coffee definitely exceeded my expectations and it was one of the best flat whites I’ve had in Europe so far – balanced in flavours and strong. My friends who ordered a daily brew and a soy latte approved too. I usually love to explore different coffee shops around cities, but it was so good that I had to come here twice… even if I was only in Amsterdam for four days.
