Effective immediately, holders of the “Fairwood Joyous Senior Club” card can enjoy a HK$6 discount on every transaction. Unlike previous iterations of the scheme, this new promotion is applicable across all dining periods—including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner—at every Fairwood location citywide.
The initiative represents a doubling of the previous HK$3 standard discount, reflecting the brand’s commitment to supporting elderly residents amid rising living costs. By simply presenting their membership card at the cashier, eligible diners can reduce their bill instantly, whether they are grabbing a morning congee or sitting down for a signature baked pork chop rice in the evening.
Simplified Eligibility and Application Process
In a move to make the benefits more accessible, Fairwood has aligned its eligibility criteria with the government’s “JoyYou Card” age threshold. Residents aged 60 or older are now eligible to join the program. For those who have not yet registered for the “Fairwood Joyous Senior Club,” the company offers two streamlined application methods:
- In-Store Registration: Seniors can visit any Fairwood branch with their JoyYou Card or Senior Citizen Card. Staff at the counter will verify the documents and process the membership on the spot, allowing the HK$6 discount to be used immediately.
- Online Application: Tech-savvy seniors or their family members can visit the official Fairwood website to fill out a digital form. Applicants must upload a copy of their age-proving documents and select their preferred method for receiving the physical membership card.
Wider Community Support for Seniors
The enhancement of Fairwood’s internal discount coincides with a broader push for elderly welfare within the local dining industry. Starting February 20, 2026 (the fourth day of the Lunar New Year), the government will launch the fourth phase of the “Caring Eateries” coupon scheme. This program is expected to benefit approximately 70,000 seniors, particularly those living alone or in “two-elderly” households.
Under this separate initiative, eligible participants will receive a set of eight HK$25 dining vouchers. These can be used at eight major restaurant chains, including Fairwood, Café de Coral, Maxim’s MX, Tai Hing, and KFC. At Fairwood, for example, a voucher allows seniors to purchase a Pineapple Sweet and Sour Pork Rice set—originally valued at HK$49—for just HK$25.
