Fairwood Expands Senior Discounts with Daily $6 Off Across All Meal Times

Hong Kong’s renowned fast-food chain Fairwood has announced a significant upgrade to its long-standing senior welfare program, offering enhanced savings for the city’s silver-haired community. Effective immediately, holders of the “Fairwood Care Senior Card” can enjoy a HK$6 discount on every purchase at all branches across Hong Kong. This upgraded promotion applies to all dining periods, including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, providing a flexible and affordable dining solution for elderly residents.

Since its inception in 2014, the “Fairwood Care Senior Card” has been a cornerstone of the brand’s community outreach, previously offering a HK$3 discount per transaction. By doubling the discount to HK$6, Fairwood aims to provide more substantial financial relief for seniors faced with the rising cost of living. For a regular diner, this can translate to significant monthly savings. Whether grabbing a classic baked pork chop rice for lunch or a simple toast set for tea, the discount is applied instantly upon presenting the card at the counter.

Simplified Eligibility and Application Process

In an effort to be more inclusive, Fairwood lowered the age requirement for the program in late 2021. Residents aged 60 or above are now eligible to apply, matching the criteria for the government’s JoyYou Card. Eligible seniors can obtain their “Fairwood Care Senior Card” through two convenient channels:

  • In-Store Application: Visit any Fairwood branch with a JoyYou Card or Senior Citizen Card. Staff at the cashier will verify the documents and process the application on the spot, allowing the applicant to use the discount immediately.
  • Online Registration: Prospective members can visit the official Fairwood website to fill out a digital form and upload copies of their identification documents. Applicants can then choose their preferred method for collecting the physical card.

Broader Community Support and Future Initiatives

The Fairwood initiative coincides with broader efforts across the Hong Kong food and beverage sector to support the elderly. Starting February 20, 2026 (the fourth day of the Lunar New Year), the government will launch the fourth phase of the “Caring Eateries” program. This separate scheme will distribute sets of dining vouchers to approximately 70,000 seniors, including those living alone.

By participating in these programs, Fairwood continues to cement its role as a socially responsible brand. Industry experts suggest that such discounts not only assist seniors financially but also encourage social engagement by making dining out more accessible. As Hong Kong’s population continues to age, these targeted promotions represent a crucial intersection of corporate social responsibility and community well-being, ensuring that the city’s elders can enjoy nutritious meals with dignity and ease.
