As the weather warms and the Tseung Kwan O South Park officially opens its gates to the public, PopWalk is transforming the district’s waterfront into a premier culinary destination. Commencing immediately and running through late March and the Easter holidays, the “Grab ‘n’ Go Market” offers an expansive selection of over 50 local brands and 200 snack varieties. This six-weekend takeover at the Ocean PopWalk Rainbow Track combines gourmet street food, international coffee roastery showcases, and family-friendly entertainment, providing a much-needed leisure hub for residents and visitors alike.
A Confluence of Innovative Flavors
The market is anchored by several standout local artisans pushing the boundaries of traditional snacks. Madness Family Gelato has launched a pop-up storefront featuring daring exclusive flavors, including a Seaweed Floss Miso Gelato—a savory-sweet homage to Chinese bakery rolls—and a fiery Chili Honey option. To sweeten the deal, the brand is offering a flash promotion where any purchase of two scoops includes a free topping.
Health-conscious foodies can turn to Blendit, a Hong Kong-based brand specializing in authentic, oil-free New York-style bagels. Their offerings integrate “superfoods” into the dough, resulting in unique varieties such as Goji Berry, Black Maca Walnut, and Coriander.
International Coffee and Street Classics
For caffeine aficionados, the Coffee Omakase section brings a global perspective to the waterfront. The curated lineup features elite roasters, including Blend Kyoto (Japan), DAK Coffee Roasters (Netherlands), and MAME Coffee (Switzerland). Patrons can sample hand-brewed selections from 11 different bean varieties ranging from artisanal blends to competition-grade single origins.
The local street food scene is represented by Yuen Long’s famous Eggcellent 852, which will appear on select dates in March and April. Known for their crispy egg waffles (Gai Daan Tsai), they are introducing heart-shaped iterations and matcha, hazelnut chocolate, and coffee-flavored egg rolls.
Pet-Friendly Weekends and Consumer Rewards
Recognizing the district’s active pet-owning community, PopWalk will pivot to three consecutive themed pet markets starting March 14. These will include:
- March 14-15: Cute Pet Market
- March 21-22: Beetle Exhibition 2026
- March 28-29: Rabbit Adoption Fair
To maximize value, the mall is launching the “Grab ‘n’ Go Rewards” program. The Point members can redeem electronic vouchers and limited-edition gelato by spending between HK$500 and HK$1,500 at participating outlets. Furthermore, over 30 on-site restaurants are offering “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” deals and HK$1 snack specials throughout the campaign period.
This multi-faceted event not only revitalizes the Tseung Kwan O waterfront but also serves as a vital platform for local small businesses to reach new audiences in one of Hong Kong’s fastest-growing residential hubs.
