Hong Kong Sushi chain Sushiro has announced a landmark crossover with the globally acclaimed mobile rhythm game “Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku,” running from July 21 to August 20, 2026. The collaboration will transform three locations into immersive themed restaurants, introduce four exclusive menu items bundled with collectible merchandise, and offer spend-driven giveaways—marking Sushiro’s first-ever partnership with the virtual singer phenomenon.
The Crossover That Fans Have Been Waiting For
Since its launch, Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku has amassed over 39 million downloads worldwide, cementing its status as a cultural force among young audiences in Hong Kong and across Asia. Developed by SEGA and Colorful Palette, the game follows five musical groups who discover a virtual world called “SEKAI,” guided by legendary virtual singers including Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO. Now, Sushiro is bringing that digital universe to life—with sushi.
The collaboration runs for exactly one month, from July 21 through August 20, 2026, across all Sushiro locations in Hong Kong, with three flagship stores receiving full themed makeovers.
Three Locations Transformed Into Fan Destinations
Sushiro has selected one outlet in each major region for an immersive redesign. The Causeway Bay Plaza 2 store (3A, 3/F, 463-483 Lockhart Road) will serve Hong Kong Island fans. The Kai Tak Retail Arcade 2 location (M2-302, 2-3/F, 38-39 Shing Kai Road) covers Kowloon. And the Tsuen Wan Plaza outlet (301-302, 3/F, 4-30 Tai Pa Street) represents the New Territories.
Each themed store will feature large-scale character display walls, life-sized standing figures, and decorated tablescapes. The visual design centers on the VIRTUAL SINGER characters alongside the game’s five music units: Leo/need, MORE MORE JUMP!, Vivid BAD SQUAD, Wonderlands×Showtime, and 25-ji, Nightcord de. Iconic scenes from the characters’ stories will be woven into the decor, offering fans a direct portal into the game’s vibrant musical world.
Four Exclusive Menu Items With Collectible Surprises
Starting July 21, every Sushiro outlet will serve four limited-edition dishes, each bundled with a randomly selected collectible item—adding an element of blind-box excitement to every meal.
The Extra-Large Salmon Belly (HK$17) features premium, richly marbled salmon belly cut in a generous “dai-kiri” style. Each dine-in order comes with one limited-edition character pick (seven designs, randomly assigned). The picks feature characters from VIRTUAL SINGER, MORE MORE JUMP!, and Vivid BAD SQUAD, all dressed in exclusive Sushiro-themed outfits in red, black, and white.
The Bonito, Lean Tuna, and Minced Tuna Stack (HK$17) layers bonito tuna with lean tuna and tops it with smooth minced tuna and burstingly fresh flying fish roe. Purchasers receive one of six character picks, this time showcasing Leo/need, Wonderlands×Showtime, and 25-ji, Nightcord de. members in Sushiro’s exclusive uniforms.
The Chocolate Lava Cake (HK$27) presents a soft chocolate sponge cake with a rich, molten chocolate center. Each order includes one transparent collector’s card (seven designs, randomly assigned), depicting Hatsune Miku and five other characters—Hoshino Ichika, Hanasato Minori, Kozakura Kohane, Tenma Tsukasa, and Yoisaki Kanade—enjoying sushi. The clear card is designed to fit perfectly into the multipurpose card holder included with the drink set.
The Collaboration Drink Set (HK$69) combines a refreshing carbonated beverage with a limited-edition multipurpose card holder and mini stand (six designs, randomly assigned). Each card holder features a hook and color-matches one of the game’s music units. The accompanying mini stand comes with a base and can be displayed separately, allowing fans to showcase their favorite characters on desks or shelves.
Premium Add-On Merchandise and Spend-Linked Giveaways
For those looking to expand their collection, Sushiro is offering an exclusive add-on purchase. Customers who spend a net minimum of HK$200 on dine-in or takeaway (excluding delivery platforms) can add one Collaboration Unit Stand Charm for HK$99. These charms come in five designs, one for each music unit, and feature small character figures that can be inserted into a base to recreate a stage scene. Each set includes five to six silver bead chains, allowing the individual figures to be detached and used as bag charms or accessories.
Spending HK$200 allows purchase of up to two charms, while HK$400 or more permits up to four per receipt.
Additionally, a free gift awaits customers willing to complete three simple steps. Limited-edition collaboration stickers (six designs, randomly assigned) are available at all Sushiro locations except the Kowloon Bay Amoy Plaza and Lohas Park stores. To qualify, customers must spend HK$300 or more on dine-in or takeaway, like or follow Sushiro’s official Facebook or Instagram page, and show the page to staff at checkout. The stickers feature characters in Sushiro-exclusive outfits and are sized for phone case decoration. One sticker per receipt, while supplies last.
Why Hatsune Miku Still Reigns
For the uninitiated, Hatsune Miku remains one of the most enduring digital icons of the 21st century. Developed by Crypton Future Media, she is a vocaloid software voicebank and its anthropomorphic mascot. Her name combines “Hatsu” (first) and “Miku” (future), symbolizing the beginning and the possibilities of musical expression. Dubbed the “World’s Number One Princess” by fans, her cross-generational appeal has made her a fixture in concerts, merchandise, and now—sushi collaborations.
As the July 21 launch approaches, fans across Hong Kong are preparing to queue, collect, and celebrate at the intersection of rhythm games and rolled sushi. With limited quantities across all items, early visits are strongly advised.
