Hong Kong Bubble Tea Chain “Nap 5 More Minutes” Debuts Limited-Edition Watermelon Series With Free Topping Promos

Hong Kong, August 2026 – Local favourite bubble tea brand Nap 5 More Minutes has unveiled a refreshing new limited-time menu centred on ripe Taiwanese watermelon, offering two innovative drinks alongside a month-long slate of discounts, free topping upgrades, and a festive mooncake-season gift box.

The new Watermelon Series features two beverages made with 100% freshly pressed juice from matured Taiwanese melons. Leading the lineup is the Watermelon Apple Iced Tea (HK$33), which pairs the sweet juice with a tart apple infusion for a crisp, palate-cleansing finish. Customers can choose between a jasmine-scented afternoon green tea base or the lighter Four Seasons Jinxuan oolong. For those seeking a creamier texture, the Quilted Watermelon Slushie (HK$37) blends the juice into a fine, fluffy ice topped with a 3-centimetre layer of the brand’s signature salted cheese foam, striking a balance between sweet fruit and savoury cream. This option is also available with either tea base.

Free toppings and summer deals

To celebrate the launch, Nap 5 More Minutes is rolling out several time-sensitive promotions throughout September. From 1 to 7 September, customers who purchase any watermelon series drink can add one free topping (regularly HK$4) – bubble tea jelly or coconut jelly for the slushie, or a choice of toppings for the iced tea. Starting 15 September, the chain will release a limited-edition “Melon Card,” which grants one complimentary topping with every drink purchased. From 21 to 25 September, a combo deal offers a watermelon drink paired with any iced fruit tea for a HK$5 discount.

Additionally, in recognition of Hong Kong’s Teachers’ Day period (8–10 September), the brand is partnering with foodpanda and Keeta to offer 10% off orders over HK$149 placed through these delivery platforms.

Mid-Autumn gift box and premium pastry offering

Beyond the beverage menu, the brand is introducing the Breton Shortbread Gift Box for the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival. This four-piece collection reinvents the classic French pastry by infusing it with the chain’s signature afternoon green tea. Each box contains two flavours – Classic Afternoon Green Tea and Strong Brew Afternoon Green Tea – baked with premium European cultured butter to achieve a golden, crumbly texture of about 1.5 centimetres. Every box also includes a buy-one-get-one-free voucher for any drink on the menu.

From 1 to 13 September, customers purchasing any drink can add the gift box for a promotional price of HK$99 (original HK$109). From 14 to 30 September, the price drops further to HK$199 for two boxes. Please note that these gift box offers are not valid at the Kwai Fong Metro Plaza or Hong Kong International Airport branches.

A seasonal strategy for brand loyalty

The launch reflects a broader trend among Hong Kong beverage chains to leverage seasonal, high-quality ingredients and bundled promotions to drive foot traffic during the hot summer months. By combining limited-time flavours with value-added incentives – such as free toppings and pairing discounts – Nap 5 More Minutes aims to reward regular customers while attracting new ones ahead of the festive gift-giving season.

For those planning to try the new series, early September offers the best value, with free topping upgrades and delivery discounts available. The watermelon menu is expected to remain available while supplies last, so fans are encouraged to visit participating outlets soon.
