Mong Kok Welcomes The Grill Room’s Third Outpost with All-You-Can-Eat Wagyu Feasts Starting at HK$268

The Grill Room, an acclaimed European steakhouse that has built a loyal following since 2017, has opened its third location in the heart of Mong Kok. The new 6,500-square-foot venue at the Grand Plaza (Yalan Centre) offers an all-you-can-eat wagyu beef experience starting at HK$268 for lunch and HK$298 for dinner, with premium tiers featuring Japanese A4 Satsuma wagyu, American Snake River Farms (SRF) beef, and Australian Bell Valley wagyu. The concept aims to bring a refined yet convivial dining atmosphere to the bustling district, appealing to both casual meat lovers and dedicated connoisseurs.

A New Home for Steak Aficionados

Since its debut, The Grill Room has attracted attention for its blend of modern bistro aesthetics and a menu centered on high-quality, fire-grilled meats. The Mong Kok branch continues this philosophy with an open kitchen and bar, allowing diners to watch the chefs at work as flames lick the grills and aromas fill the air. The restaurant seats 144 across booths, communal tables, bar counters, and private rooms—making it suitable for romantic dinners, group gatherings, or corporate events. The design features European brick walls, wooden tabletops, and soft lighting, creating a setting that feels at once upscale and welcoming.

Three Tiers of Wagyu Indulgence

The all-you-can-eat dinner menu is structured to cater to different appetites and budgets. All tiers include appetizers, unlimited selected main courses, French fries, the daily soup, and a choice of pasta or signature rice dishes.

  • CLASSIC CUTS (HK$298 per adult): This entry-level option uses grain-fed Angus beef raised for 150 days. Diners can enjoy unlimited servings of roasted Angus beef, Angus sirloin, and the chef’s choice of wagyu.
  • SIGNATURE CUTS (HK$368 per adult): Builds on the Classic tier by adding unlimited servings of SRF wagyu (a cross between Japanese wagyu and top-tier Angus) and Australian Bell Valley wagyu, which is grain-fed for at least 200 days. The SRF cuts offer a balance of marbling and rich beef flavor, while Bell Valley delivers a sweet, juicy finish.
  • PRIME CUTS (HK$468 per adult): The ultimate experience includes everything from the previous tiers plus unlimited Japanese A4 Satsuma wagyu from Kagoshima. This breed won top honors at Japan’s “Wagyu Olympics” and is prized for its bright red, tender meat and buttery, melt-in-the-mouth texture. Also included are premium cuts such as wagyu blade steak, sirloin, and ribeye from SRF and Bell Valley.

Dinner service runs from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., allowing ample time to work through the menu. For those who want to elevate the evening, drink packages are available: HK$48 for bottomless non-alcoholic beverages, HK$98 for red wine, white wine, beer, and select non-alcoholic options, or HK$148 for sparkling wine, cocktails, and all of the above.

Beyond the Steak: Sides, Seafood, and Sweets

While wagyu is the star, the restaurant encourages guests to round out the meal with additional à la carte items. Fresh oysters flown in seasonally are HK$22 each (minimum two), while herb-and-basil roasted scallops are also HK$22 each. Roasted vegetables (HK$38) and garden salad (HK$28) provide lighter counterpoints. After the mains, a dessert trolley rolls by offering classic Western treats such as crème brûlée (HK$48), tiramisu (HK$48), lemon tart (HK$58), and chocolate mille-feuille (HK$68)—a sweet finale to a hearty feast.
