Nabe Hotpot Hosts Hong Kong’s First Beyblade Tournament with Golden Prizes and Free Buffet

Hong Kong’s Beyblade obsession is spinning into a new arena—and this time, it’s happening over simmering hotpot. Nabe Japanese Shabu-Shabu has teamed up with the local fan community Hong Kong Blader to launch the territory’s first major Beyblade competition, the “Nabe Beyblade King Championship,” set for July 2026. The event invites enthusiasts aged 12 and above to battle for exclusive golden-edition Beyblade parts and free premium hotpot buffets.

Beyblade Craze Meets Japanese Hotpot

The partnership marks an unusual but strategic crossover between competitive play and dining. Hong Kong Blader, a grassroots group that has nurtured a passionate community of Beyblade collectors and battlers, is leveraging the buzz to attract newcomers and seasoned players alike. Nabe, known for its multi-tier shabu-shabu sets, is positioning itself as a hub for interactive entertainment beyond traditional dining.

“We wanted to create an experience that brings people together—whether they’re hardcore bladers or families looking for a fun weekend activity,” a Nabe spokesperson said. “The golden Beyblade prizes are one-of-a-kind, and the free hotpot meals add an extra layer of excitement.”

Competition Details: Three Districts, One Champion

The tournament is structured in two phases: district preliminaries and a grand final. Only 72 spots are available, with each of the three regional heats capped at 24 participants. All contestants must use authentic Beyblade X Series products and compete in a “3-spin-top battle” format, selecting three different attribute types for each match.

Matches follow an official single-elimination bracket system. The top four players from each district advance to the final showdown.

A New Trend in Experiential Dining

This tournament reflects a broader shift in Hong Kong’s food scene, where restaurants are increasingly blending dining with lifestyle events. For Nabe, the Beyblade championship is more than a marketing gimmick—it’s a chance to build community loyalty and attract diverse customers. For Hong Kong Blader, it’s a milestone that formalizes a grassroots culture into a sanctioned competition.

“This is just the beginning,” said a Hong Kong Blader organizer. “We hope to make this an annual event, and maybe even inspire other food brands to jump into the arena.”

Whether you’re a spinner seeking glory or a foodie craving a hotpot feast, the Nabe Beyblade King Championship promises a July to remember. Don’t miss your chance to spin, win, and dine.
