From Sunday to Thursday, the izakaya’s sake sommelier curates a daily selection of five premium sakes available for just $7 per glass, with each table limited to one glass per person. Featured sakes include the crisp ‘Ju Dai’ sake, characterized by a light body and aromas of green apple and white peach, and ‘Hiran Heaven’ sparkling sake, offering a dry finish with fine bubbles. Other options are ‘Shunka Kasumi’ Junmai Daiginjo, polished to 35% for a fruity and smooth profile, and ‘Tosa Shirakiku’ Daiginjo, known for its elegant bouquet and clean taste.
Late-Night Sake Experience
After 9 PM, the venue offers a dedicated sake drinking party for $198 per person, allowing 110 minutes of unlimited pours from nine selected sakes. The selection includes rich varieties like ‘Echizen Boyo’ Junmai with pronounced rice notes, ‘Kiminoi Koizumi Oni’ from Niigata, and ‘Yamato Kura’ fresh sake with hints of pineapple. Shochu and highball are also included, making it an ideal choice for evening gatherings.
Discounted Dishes and Desserts
Diners spending $250 or more per person (before service charge) on Sunday to Thursday evenings can order one of five signature dishes or two new desserts at 70% off. For a spend of $500 per person, two discounted items are allowed per table. Highlights include foie gras reduced from $148 to $44, hand-made shrimp stick with Japanese egg from $78 to $23, and yam dishes from $128 to $38. New desserts such as caramel croissant with Okinawan brown sugar ($98 to $29) and sweet potato ice cream ($108 to $32) offer sweet endings at bargain prices.
Sushi Cake Bonuses
Shinko’s sushi cakes, made with fresh Japanese seafood, are available in 11 flavors ranging from $65 to $238. Varieties include crab roe, salmon roe, sea urchin, and scallop. Limited-time offers allow customers to buy three pieces and get one free, or buy seven pieces and get three free, with a minimum order of four pieces. All orders require two days’ advance notice and are for takeout only. The restaurant can arrange delivery via courier at the customer’s expense.
