Hong Kong Sushiro has announced its first-ever collaboration with the smash-hit mobile rhythm game Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku, launching across all local outlets from July 21 to August 20, 2026. The partnership will transform three branches into themed pop-up stores, introduce four limited-edition menu items bundled with exclusive collectibles, and offer fans a chance to purchase premium merchandise or redeem free stickers through special spending thresholds.
Themed Stores and Immersive Experience
With global downloads of Project Sekai surpassing 39 million, the collaboration aims to bring the game’s vibrant music world into physical dining. Three Sushiro locations across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories will receive a full makeover:
- Causeway Bay Plaza 2 – 3A, 3/F, 463–483 Lockhart Road
- Kai Tak Sports Park Retail 2 – M2-302, 2–3/F, 38–39 Shing Kai Road
- Tsuen Wan Plaza – 301–302, 3/F, 4–30 Tai Pa Street
Store interiors will feature large character photo walls, life-sized standees, and themed table decorations showcasing not only virtual singer Hatsune Miku but also the five in-game musical groups: Leo/need, MORE MORE JUMP!, Vivid BAD SQUAD, Wonderlands×Showtime, and 25-ji, Nightcord de. Scenes from the characters’ stories will be woven into the decor, offering diners an instant gateway into the game’s narrative.
Limited-Edition Menu and Collectibles
From July 21, all Sushiro branches in Hong Kong will serve four collaboration dishes, each accompanied by a random piece of exclusive merchandise.

Large Salmon Belly (HK$17) – Featuring generously cut, fatty salmon belly, this dish comes with one of seven limited-edition character flags. The designs depict members of VIRTUAL SINGER, MORE MORE JUMP!, and Vivid BAD SQUAD wearing Sushiro-themed outfits in red, black, and white.

Longfin Tuna Layered with Lean Tuna and Minced Tuna Topping (HK$17) – Stacked textures of tuna and flying fish roe, served with one of six character flags representing Leo/need, Wonderlands×Showtime, and 25-ji, Nightcord de.

Chocolate Lava Cake (HK$27) – A soft chocolate cake with a molten centre, paired with one of seven transparent collectible cards. These feature six popular characters (including Hatsune Miku) enjoying Sushiro food and can be inserted into the multi-purpose card holder from the drink set.

Collaboration Drink Set (HK$69) – A refreshing soda served with one of six multi-purpose card holders and small standees. Each holder is colour-coordinated with a musical group and includes a detachable mini standee on a base.
How to Get Exclusive Merchandise
Add-on Purchase: Customers who spend a net amount of HK$200 or more on dine-in or takeaway (excluding delivery platforms) can buy one random combination stand keychain for HK$99. Each keychain represents one of the five in-game groups, with member standees that can be displayed on a base or detached and carried as bag charms. A single receipt allows up to two keychains at HK$200 spending and up to four at HK$400 or above.
Free Sticker Redemption: At all branches except Kowloon Bay Amoy Plaza and Lohas Park, diners spending at least HK$300 and liking or following Sushiro’s official Facebook or Instagram page can claim one random sticker (six designs available). Stickers are limited in quantity, one per receipt, and depict characters in Sushiro’s exclusive costumes.
Understanding the Phenomenon of Hatsune Miku
For those unfamiliar with the franchise, Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! is developed by SEGA and Colorful Palette. The story follows five groups of teenagers who, driven by strong wishes, enter a virtual world called “SEKAI” created from those wishes. There they meet Hatsune Miku and other Piapro characters—Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO—who help the teens discover their true desires.
Hatsune Miku herself, originally released by Crypton Future Media as a vocaloid software voicebank for YAMAHA’s Vocaloid engine and later for Crypton’s own NT engine, has become a global cultural icon. Her name combines “Hatsu” (first) and “Miku” (future), symbolising new beginnings and limitless musical possibilities.
