Tai Hing Group Marks July 1 with One-Day 71% Off Dine-In Feast Across 15 Brands

Hong Kong’s largest restaurant operator will slash prices on all dine-in orders at more than 200 outlets, no minimum spend required, as it celebrates the city’s return day with a “Thank You” event.

On July 1, Tai Hing Group—the powerhouse behind beloved chains including Tai Hing Roast, Minhua Cafe, TeaWood, and Asam Chicken Rice—will launch a one-day flash promotion offering a flat 29% discount (effectively a 71% bill) on all dine-in meals. The move, dubbed the “Tai Hing Group Thank You Day,” covers breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner across 15 of its banners, making it one of the broadest restaurant discounts seen this year.

The group operates roughly 200 outlets citywide, giving diners an extensive network to cash in on the deal. “We want to show our gratitude to Hong Kong people this July 1,” a company spokesperson said. “There’s no minimum order, no coupons needed—just show up and enjoy.”

One-Day Flash Sale Across Hong Kong

The discount applies to all dine-in orders placed at any Hong Kong branch on July 1, with the exception of airport locations. Takeaway, roast meat counter purchases, and delivery services are excluded. The promotion also cannot be combined with other offers, loyalty vouchers, or electronic cash coupons. Notably, the 10% service charge will be calculated on the pre-discount total.

Tai Hing Group first announced the flash sale via its mobile app and social channels, prompting a surge of interest among budget-conscious families and office workers. “Anytime a major group offers a straight percentage off with no strings attached, it’s a win for consumers,” said food industry analyst Fiona Leung. “It signals confidence in foot traffic and a desire to drive volume on a public holiday.”

Beyond July 1: Additional Promotions

The group has been rolling out a series of offers leading up to the holiday. From June through August, members of the Tai Hing App can access a $33‑off coupon on dine‑in or takeaway orders of HK$300 or more at 14 brands. Separately, a “$3 Snack Bliss” campaign grants 24 app‑exclusive vouchers for items like Minhua’s double‑boiled soup, Asam’s pulled tea, Kao De Zhu’s cheung fun, and Jin Li’s spring rolls.

Diners who wish to maximise savings should download the Tai Hing App before July 1 and check for any overlapping offers. With nearly one in every ten cha chaan teng meals in Hong Kong served by the group, this flash sale is poised to be one of the most accessible public holiday deals of the year.

How to prepare: Identify your nearest participating branch (use the app’s store locator), arrive early to avoid queues, and be ready to settle the bill with cash, Octopus, or credit card—app vouchers won’t apply on the day. Enjoy a full meal your whole family can share, from dim sum to pho, all at a near‑30% discount.
